The best universities to study architecture in 2024, according to QS World Rankings

QS, Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings, has announced the annual list of the best universities to study Architecture and Built Environment in 2024. The ranking evaluates more than 1,500 institutions in more than 100 locations. This year, the evaluation system was updated to include new metrics such as sustainability, employment outcomes and international research networks.

The top three positions, Bartlett School of Architecture, MIT and Delft UT, have maintained their ranking since 2023 while ETH Zurich shows a slight decline from an equal third position to fourth. In sixth position, Harvard University stands out as the best university for its business reputation in this area. Among the top 10 universities, Politecnico di Milano had the biggest advance in the ranking, moving from tenth place last year to seventh.
