How the project came about

Kiara’s passion for drawing was born in the pandemic when. “She started drawing a lot. She said she wanted to put together a book and we, her parents, supported her in everything,” said her mother. And she continued: “She made the sketches, which she transferred to the computer and improved them using artificial intelligence. She thus retouched them.”

“She had started doing it at the age of 13, and she dedicated a lot of time to it. There were moments of frustration and complications with school, because on top of that she studies double shifts, but the passion to finish the book was so great that she stayed up late, I woke up earlier, and everything to follow him. I used every free moment for that,” said Karina, whose daughter attends El Encuentro de Luis Guillón school.

However, Kiara’s passion was inspired, in large part, by her two dogs: Thiago, a golden retriever who passed away, and Saray, the toy poodle after whom the book is named.

Once the creation of more than 200 pages was completed, the family contacted the IDL printing company, who expressed their delight with the book and their desire to be part of the project. And so it came to light.

Support from Kiara’s parents

Karina Lerman supported her daughter Kiara at all times with the idea of the book. “For us, as parents, it is a source of pride. We are proud of her because despite the difficult moments, she moved forward anyway. She always trusted that she could and that she was going to achieve it. She set her mind to it, she set it as a goal, she failed. to places, she left things and fully immersed herself in the book. She is an inspiration for all those who say that it is difficult and that she couldn’t,” he said.

In addition, Karina mentioned that Kiara is already working on a second book, which will be a story aimed at boys. “She has inspiration and purpose. She’s just in chapter one but she’s already on a new project,” she explained.
