The emeritus journalistic director of HOY DÍA CÓRDOBA, Nelson Specchiaparticipated in the Buenos Aires International Book Fair. The event took place last Monday, in the Sarmiento room of the literary complex. The author presented the novel “The witches of the impudent finger”.

“The Witches of the Immodest Finger” is a novel by Nelson Specchia published by the Cordoban label El Emporio, so the work can be found in bookstores in the city. With 119 pages in length, the work tells the story of a group of women in the dark Europe of the Middle Ages. They decide to gather ancestral knowledge to protect the balance of the Earth and health against the pests that will come. To achieve their objective they must disguise themselves as men to avoid the bonfires where the Inquisition burns the witches and flee to western Finisterre; In a monastery in the center of the continent, wearing male monastic habits, they manage to compile the knowledge of the ancient druids in a book that they write in code.

As the cover text explains, Specchia traces a story that mixes fantasy literature, spies and black crime. It is an observation about the balance of the planet and human coexistence.

Nelson Specchia is a writer, journalist and political analyst. He was born in Las Breñas (Chaco) in 1964. He has published the volumes of stories “El brujo” (2009), “La cena de electra” (2016), “Like a glass without whiskey in my hands” (2021), “Traficantes of blood” (2022), as well as chronicles, poetry and essays. He is an illustrious citizen of Las Breñas and Córdoba has given him its highest decoration, the Jerónimo Luis de Cabrera.
