In the IDEA auditorium in the Alpujarra, the awards and recognition gala for the 100 most important women in music in Antioquia, in the last hundred years, WOMEN OF FLOR AND CARRIEL, was held last night, April 30.

An unprecedented project, led by two women managers, producers and artists: Maria Isabel Saavedra and Vicky Echeverri and operated by the National Promúsica Foundation of Geneva, Funmúsica, became the largest and most important call for female talent from Antioquia in recent decades. .

The delivery of a beautiful 300-page deluxe edition book, with the stories, unpublished photographs and careers of the 100 women, the Excellence Award to 12 of them, a Red Carpet and a cocktail, made up an emotional and vibrant night , which brought tears to its attendees, in perpetual applause for three hours.

The meeting of several generations of music was attended by music teachers, composers, singers, cultural managers, emblematic women’s groups and people from Antioquia by adoption.

The teachers Blanca Uribe, Doris Zapata, Consuelo Mejía, Claudia Gómez, Silvia Zapata, Fabiola Calle, Piedad Rivera de Zuluaga, received the Excellence Award, and posthumous tributes to Tita Maya, Alba del Castillo, Angélika Molina, Sonia Martínez, Martha Agudelo Villa, delivered to her family.

With a full theater, the honorees and their families attended from various latitudes; among others: Silvia O, Mirabay, Cristina Escamilla (Los Cumbia Stars), Delcy Yaneth Estrada, Amuna, Mareah, Farina, Luz Marina Posada, Marí Mar, María Adelaida Mejía, Mary Hellen, Nakí Bailarín, Sara Tunes, Yina Rose, the Grupo Encanto, Vicky Romero, Alejandra Luna, Eliana Cano, cultural managers such as María Patricia Marín, Paula Jaramillo, Lillyana Estrada, Mónica Arango, Antioquians by adoption such as Raquel Zozaya, Gisela Zivic, Ofelia del Rosal, Fátima Zulbarán, María Paula Cuevas, among many others.

Some of those absent, whose artistic tours prevented their presence, sent emotional messages; Teresita Gómez, Luz Ayda, Diana María, Arelys Henao, among others.

A book that lasted six months of gestation and whose lives are described by the protagonists themselves or by their families.
