One of the most influential people who has inspired our publications is Bill Gates. Now, thanks to ‘Source Code’, his new autobiography, we will be able to delve more into the Microsoft co-founder to understand the profile of him that made him reach the top of the business.

Walter Isaacson completely undressed Elon Musk in his latest portrait. The most complete biography of the Tesla magnate revealed the magnate’s childhood, leadership and “demon mode” to become a leader in the technology and business industry. Now, in a similar milestone, but from his own pen, Bill Gates, another important technology player, brings to light the most rebellious side of him and, at the same time, unknown in ‘Source code’.

“I am pleased to announce my new book. It is a memoir of my early years, from childhood to my decision to leave college and found Microsoft with Paul Allen. I write about the relationships, lessons and experiences that laid the foundations for everything that followed in my life,” says Gates in his notes blog.

That’s how it is ‘Source code’, the new revealing autobiography of the founder of Microsoft that will be available on February 4, 2025. A book that, according to the author himself, will show the milestones of his first years of life where he felt “misfit” and “rebellious” with his parents.

Gates, now 68 years old, reveals on his blog, among other anecdotes, that he was almost expelled from university. “I’ve been in the public eye since he was in his early twenties, but “Much of my previous life is not well known.”he points out in the announcement of his new book.

Gates’s journey to youth

“Over the years, I have often been asked about my education, my time at Harvard, and my co-founding of the company. Those questions made me realize that people you might be interested in my trip and the factors that influenced it“says the tycoon.

The book, he adds, will cover his “maladjusted” early years as a child, his “rebellious” teenage phase when he “confronted” his parents and “the sudden loss of someone close to me.”

“Throughout it, you will also find the stories of many people who believed in me, “They pushed me to grow and helped me turn my quirks into strengths,” Gates continues.

“And I reflect on how lucky I was to be born into a great family in a time of optimism and historic technological change, and to come of age just as the personal computer revolution was taking off”says the also philanthropist.
