The capital of the department of Atlántico will have the opportunity to learn about the literary work “Verses that sprout, in times of emancipation”, authored by the Samarian lawyer José Eduardo Barreneche Ávila.

The launch of this book in the city of Barranquilla will take place in the Literary Gathering ‘Reading is a Pleasure’, which will take place next Saturday, June 15, at 4:00 in the afternoon, at the National Bookstore, located in the Buenavista 1 Shopping Center, 2nd floor. The work “Verses that sprout, in times of emancipation”, is the first poetic publication of the lawyer José Eduardo Barreneche Ávila, with which he pays great tribute to the identities of the Colombian Caribbean region and that constitute our society.

In its pages “Verses that sprout, in times of emancipation”, its content addresses topics such as the emancipation of women, ethnic diversity, admiration for the indigenous tribal peoples of Colombia and the Colombian Caribbean region, as well as notable aspects of the human being and social achievements, the ethnic diversity of our country, nature and its protection, in addition, it approaches such critical issues as drug trafficking and corruption, among others.

This new book by Dr. José Eduardo Barreneche Ávila, which he puts up for consideration by all Colombians, is characterized by its social content, through poetry, with which he invites us to embrace honesty, morality, respect and integrity, having as The main axis is the woman as a valuable being of divine origin, who requires emancipation, and emphasizes the need to respect indigenous and tribal peoples and the rejection of what is illegal, through the “protest verses.”

The author highlights that the word emancipation is synonymous with liberation, through education, which is why the title of the aforementioned work is an encouragement for all those people who study, prepare and work, so that they are aware that through that path all goals in life are achieved.

He added that “in my verses you will find a story to tell, a song to sing, a play to perform, and the staging of a social need. My poetry will not be a refuge but a mechanism that society will take as a way of educating.”

The writer of this interesting work, José Eduardo Barreneche Ávila, was born in 1978 in Santa Marta, is a lawyer by profession with Specializations and Masters in various branches of Law, has worked as a columnist in the media, and has worked as a professor in universities.

He is passionate about literature, he has written several articles on culture and music, such as “Piano and Vallenato: a hidden courtship”, “Mamá Iguana, our mythological mother”, and his recent work with a focus on social poetry: “Verses that They sprout, in times of emancipation”, his first poetic publication.
