Today, Friday, June 14, at 7:00 p.m., in La Manzana de la Rivera (Ayolas 129), the launch of the book Poems Reunited, by Carmen Casartelli Samudio, takes place.
The presentation will be given by Moncho Azuaga and Mario Casartelli.

In the prologue we read the following: The Collected Poems of Carmen Casartelli Samudio rescue three previous books, to which are added her unpublished creations. In her pages is the result of a poetic vocation maintained over the years, with a clearly defined voice.

Before his verses we find metaphors that emerge from a deeply humanist being, with the sign of proximity on his back, in the sense once expressed by the poet Hérib Campos Cervera.

In the section Ten Poems for Zahara, the texts are translated into English (Ten Poems for Zahara) because the protagonist is his granddaughter and was born and resides in Ireland.

The concern about social imbalances is evident, as are family scenes and lessons, which from childhood leave indelible marks and mark our existence. They are recurring themes in it, as is the capacity for gratitude for the good friendships cultivated over time.

In the work of this author who comes from a family of artists, you can also hear – and hear – echoes of silenced voices that wait to be redeemed not only through words, but also through action.

The author confesses that, the times she looks closely at the world, the girl who lives in her continues sobbing. But her crying is a manifesto of indignation at any injustice committed against anyone, wherever she is.
