He Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Amador Pastorannounced this Tuesday that on June 20 the deadline opens for families who wish to voluntarily join the textbook bank, a measure that will benefit more of 245,000 students in the region, enrolled in 984 educational centers supported by public funds.

During the usual press conference to report on the agreements reached in the Government Council, Pastor reported that the request to join this initiative must be made, from the indicated date, through the ‘Educamos CLM’ platform.

The counselor recalled that this bank will be launched from the next academic year. This is a textbook loan system, through which families will leave the books that their children have used in the current course at educational centers so that other students can use them in successive courses.

This bank has a place for all those books that, from the third year of Primary to the second year of High School, meet the conditions. to be used again.

Pastor has also taken stock of the current school year and highlighted that a total of 79,719 students have benefited from textbook scholarships and that 23,044 dining scholarships have been granted, giving students “protection and guarantee food.
