The feminicide that shook Magdalena Medio – El Original

Yoli María Toloza Cardoza was at her home in the municipality of Puerto Wilches, Santander, when two armed men entered her home and shot her, killing her.

The murder of the social leader has shocked the riverside community. Toloza Cardoza, 52, who lived in Puerto Wilches, Santander, was registered by the authorities without much information about the work she carried out in the territory as a member of the Popular Women’s Organization, OFP.

María Toloza, her death was rejected by the Popular Women’s Organization who issued a statement recounting the events that occurred on June 27 of this yearbook at 11:00 am

According to the organization, the woman was shot dead in her home, which was located in front of the OFP headquarters in the territory, where the Gaitanista Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AGC), also known as the Gulf Clan
