The book was launched on the occasion of the state visit to Vietnam of Russian President Vladimir Putin from June 19 to 20. The work has almost 200 documents, many of which are published for the first time in Vietnam, compiled from various sources such as the Federal Archive of Russia and the State Archives Department of Vietnam, among others.

The book is divided into three parts. The first titled “Vietnam – Soviet Union and peace efforts before the Paris Conference”, mentions the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, as well as the efforts of the Soviet administration in peace negotiations for Vietnam.

“The Paris Conference – The Historical Negotiation and Support of the Soviet Union to Vietnam” is the title of the second part, which contains many new documents, describing the foreign policy of Vietnam and the role of the Soviet Union in the Paris Conference. The third part is titled “The Agreement on the Cessation of the War and the Restoration of Peace in Vietnam.”

Written in Vietnamese and Russian, the book is intended to strengthen solidarity and friendship and meet the reading needs of readers in both countries.

The work creates a vivid image of the Paris Conference and the Paris Agreement, reflecting President Ho Chi Minh’s diplomatic style and the historic achievement of Vietnam’s revolutionary diplomacy.
