More than 100 authors will meet at the Festa dos Libros de Pontevedra 2024: check the program

The Praza da Ferrería in Pontevedra will be the paradise of literature next July 5, 6 and 7. Once again this year, the Festa dos Libros will be held there, which will bring together more than 100 authors and offer a intense programming, with presentations, recitals, book signings or drawing sessions.

The event was presented this Wednesday by the Councilor for Culture, Demetrio Gómez, and the bookstore representatives Thirteen businesses are taking part in the project: Paper Planes, Cao, Clip, D-Lectum, El Naranjo, El Pueblo, Erebor Comics, Escolma, Espazo Lector Nobel, La Nube de Papel, Metaphor, Paz Bookstore and Seijas.

The Festa dos Libros will take place under a large tent in Praza da Ferrería at scheduled times from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.except on Sunday 7 July, when it will close half an hour earlier. Access to the venue, as well as the activities taking place there, is free.

During the three days of the fair you can go to the bookstore stands, where various writers will be signing their works. For example, on Friday, July 5, Andrea Fernández Plata will sign at 6:30 p.m. at the Paz bookstore stand or Fernando Ramallo, at 9:00 p.m., at Espazo Nobel, among many others. On Saturday, authors such as Afra Torrado, Gastón Caba, Beto Luaces and Ramón Trigo will participate, and on Sunday they will sign Ledicia Costas, Berta Dávila and dozens of other authors.

On the venue stage recitals and book presentations will be held. On July 5, the event will open at 11:30 a.m. with Pakolas and the musical presentation of the children’s book Little Ramona goes to Lúa, from the Galaxia publishing house. Next, the Pinto e Maragota award for sex and gender diversity will be presented, organized by the City Council of Pontevedra in collaboration with Xerais.
