That is why The National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN) launched a new auction of all types of merchandise that have been seized, confiscated or declared abandoned. On this occasion, will auction 11 vehicles in different precision ranges.
The goal is that any person can participate and purchase goods of interest, following principles of transparency and affordability. To do this, the DIAN has the El Martillo digital platform, from Banco Popular, through this tool the offers are channeled.
Upcoming auction of 11 vehicles
The next public auction, which will include 11 vehicles, including cars, trucks and motorcycles in different price ranges, will take place on May 2 and 3.
If you are interested in participating, you can do so through the El Martillo page, there you can enter the catalog and find out the characteristics of the merchandise that will be in the auction, as well as the terms and conditions to bid easily and safely. .
The platform will receive offers from 8:00 am on Thursday, May 2 until 2:30 pm on Friday, the 3rd of the same month.
Step by step to participate in the auction
- Register with your basic information on the El Martillo platform.
- The page will validate your registration with security questions. Make sure you have a checking account and/or savings account (from any bank in the country) that is enabled to make PSE payments. If you are already registered, simply log in with your username and password.
- Review the catalog and identify the merchandise of interest. There, you can find information such as: location, lot number, base price, specifications, general and special conditions to purchase it.
- On the day of the auction you must enter the El Martillo page, with your username and password, and click on ‘Virtual auction room’.
- Once there, You must make the virtual deposit in the PSE secure online payments button, which you will find in the “My Account – Make your deposit” menu.
- After the payment is approved by your bank, you will find the deposit in the ‘My Account -‘ link. Check your PSE payments’ and, likewise, it will appear in the ‘Virtual Auction Room’.
- After bidding, The system will notify you if you are “Winning”, and if someone exceeds your bid, the word “Losing” will appear. This gives you the opportunity to improve your offers.
«Each lot has a timer that indicates the time remaining until the auction closes. For this reason, we recommend that you keep an eye on this, until it is clear that no more offers are being received,” clarifies the DIAN.
When the auction ends, the system will determine who has the best bid. The winner will have four business days to deposit the remaining balance, either with a virtual payment or a deposit to “Deposit for Auction”, at any Banco Popular office.
At that time, the person will receive an award document by email and will be contacted by the entity to continue with the process. It would be necessary to process a sales contract, billing and delivery of the purchased vehicle.
The El Martillo platform will return the deposits to people who did not win to the accounts from where they made the payment. Neither Dian nor Banco Popular are authorized for this refund, only El Martillo.
