The Constitutional court is studying a lawsuit that asks to tear down an article of the 2016 Law, on the rent monopoly of national liquorswhich allows departments that produce liquor can suspendfor up to six (6) years, the sale of other brands.

According to the argument Pablo Felipe Robledoformer superintendent of Industry and Commerce and one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuitthe norm represents threats of serious damage to production.

Simply put, the purpose of the lawsuit is ‘authorize the sale of liquor from other departments for protect local production.
