The founder and CEO of the American technology company Nvidia, Jensen Huangassured that humanity is entering a “new industrial revolution” thanks to the arrival of generative artificial intelligence (AI), which is destined to “reshape” the computing industry.

In his new role as guru and dressed in his characteristic black leather jacket, Huang, during the Computex fair, starred in a presentation of almost two hours in which he outlined the main developments of the company.

“For the first time, the $3 trillion IT industry is on the verge of creating something that will (lead to) a $100 trillion industry,” Huang said during a speech at National University. from Taiwan.

Thus, he spoke from Earth-2, a “digital clone” of the Earth that allows climate predictions of high precision, to the “digital humans” of NVIDIA ACE, through the construction of “artificial intelligence factories” with the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture.

In Huang’s words, applications based on generative AI will require less energy to run and will be much faster, which will have a “very profound” impact on the technology industry.

“These last 60 years, we have seen two or three changes that changed everything in the world of technology. “That’s happening right now,” said the businessman, emphasizing that this will not be a computer manufacturing industry, but that those same teams will be in charge of the manufacturing processes, “something that has never happened before.”

With a value of almost 2.7 trillion dollars, Nvidia is the third largest company in the United States by market capitalizationonly behind Microsoft and Apple, after their shares have accumulated a rise of more than 120% so far this year due to the rise of artificial intelligence applications and devices.

Nvidia obtained a net profit of $14,881 million during the first fiscal quarter of 2025, seven times more than in the same period of the previous year, while its turnover increased during this time by 262%, to $26,044 million.

The businessman took advantage of his time in Taiwan to have dinner with several industry heavyweights, including Morris Chang, founder of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), a company that manufactures the most advanced chips that exist, and Young Liu, president of Hon Hai. (Foxconn), the world’s largest electronics contract assembler.

“Taiwan is the home of our valued partners. This is where everything Nvidia does begins, everything we and our partners bring to the world. We have created the global AI infrastructure,” Huang stated at the beginning of his speech.
