The opinion of an expert in the judicial process between the IThe Caldas Liquor Industry (ILC) and the Antioquia Liquor Factory (FLA) indicates that there are marked differences between the image of AYellow Guardiente from Manzanares and Real Aguardiente.
According to expert John Ivan Vargas Beltranas part of the tests, the two bottles of Aguardiente Amarillo de Manzanares from the ILC and the Real Antioqueño Aguardiente from the FLA“they have marked differences from the design, proportion, dimensions of the container, structure and anatomy of the container.”
He adds: “As well as very detailed differences in the labels, the cork protection seal on the neck of the bottle, the management of the typography reflected on each front and front label and even in the color of the content of each product.”
Based on these arguments and various analyzes carried out by the expert, he concludes that There is no imitation or copy from Antioquia that threatens or affects the image of Manzanares Yellow Spirits.
Given this, it allows us to infer that the Antioquia product, whose distribution and marketing stopped the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce at the end of 2023, could circulate again.

For this defense, hired by the FLA, was based on aspects such as semiotics in the comparative of products, color theory, packaging characteristics, box and typesetting, color scheme and elements of typesetting.
The defense was presented under the legal figure of assistance of several distributors of the Antioquia company affected by the Super decision.
