New Fiat Strada Ultra T200: launch in Argentina, from $29,144,000

FFinally, almost a year after its presentation in Brazil, Fiat presented the Model Year 2024 range of the Strada in Argentina, with the incorporation of the Ultra version and the T200 engine with a CVT box as its main novelties, but also with some modifications to the rest of the range, such as the release of the Fire 1.4 engine and the single cabin options.

It should be noted that most of the changes were received by the Ranch versions and the new Ultra, while the rest of the portfolio added few new features: on an aesthetic level, the Freedom and Volcano versions only incorporated the new steering wheel used by the Pulse or Fastback and new alloy wheels (from Freedom).

The modifications are more noticeable from the Ranch version onwards: the grille was redesigned, now with a honeycomb-type framework, while the bumper incorporated a sort of black mask for protection and to give it a more aggressive look. It also debuts a new frame and design for the fog lights, with a style very similar to those of the Pulse and 16” alloy wheels with mixed-use tires. This variant has several chrome appliqués that give it a more elegant and refined look along with the two-tone interior coverings that combine black and brown.

For its part, the new Ultra version opts for a more sporty appearance: all the appliqués and details that were chrome in the Ranch are now darkened and adds a red insert at the bottom of the grill. The 16” alloy wheels also have a darkened finish, while inside the upholstery is black with red stitching.

Fiat Strada UltraIn terms of comfort and technology, the incorporation of a 3.5” display for the instruments stands out, plus the Uconnect multimedia system with a 7-inch touch screen, compatible with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, USB ports A/C, digital automatic climate control, multifunction steering wheel, TC+ traction control and rear parking sensors, among other items.

There were no improvements in safety, although the equipment remains correct, with up to 4 airbags (front + front side depending on the version), traction control, stability control, hill start assist, Isofix anchors and pressure monitoring system of the tires.

Fiat Strada UltraWithout a doubt, the main novelty of the MY2024 range is the arrival of the Firefly 1.0 turbo or T200 gasoline engine, in its configuration of 120 HP and 200 Nm of torque, coupled only to the CVT automatic transmission with 7 simulated gears and the TC+ system. This engine will only be available for the Ranch and Ultra variants, while the rest of the range has the already known 99 HP Firefly 1.3 engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox or with the CVT automatic transmission as an option for the Volcano, leaving side the Fire 1.4 propellant.

With these changes, the Strada range is made up of 4 versions: Freedom, Volcano, Ranch and Ultra, all with a double-cab body and 4 doors, which is why the single-cab option was discontinued in our market.
