Virgin Galactic He took four tourists to the edge of space and returned them aboard his space plane, which was the seventh and last flight commercial, the company founded by Richard Branson reported on Saturday.

The Galactic 07 mission transported Turkish, American and Italian passengers to an altitude of about 88.51 km in a flight of just over an hour.

The carrier plane took off from that state in the southwestern United States, from a conventional runway and, after ascending, released the spacecraft docked at its bottom, called VSS Unity.

The space tourism company said the mission took off and returned to Spaceport America in New Mexico. “Galactic 07 is back on the ground, now with astronauts. Our pilots, passengers and ship have landed safely at Spaceport America, New Mexico,” the company reported on the X social network a few minutes after landing.

Virgin Galactic will now enter a period of reduced activity and without flights pending the entry into service of the new Delta class rocket planes. According to what they reported, the new fourth-generation spacecraft will enter commercial service in 2026.
