Dongfeng arrives in Spain with 7 launches from 3 different brands; an unprecedented offensive

Dongfeng Motor Corporation, one of the most powerful automobile groups in China, is already in Spain. At an event held on the outskirts of Madrid this week, the Asian giant revealed its expansion strategy in our country with the help of Salvador Caetano Auto and with a spectacular battery range of launches: seven new cars from three different brands, all of them willing to gain an interesting position in our market in just under a year: Voyah, MHero and Dongfeng herself. It is time to get to know them one by one because in 2026 there will be 11 models from these three firms that are already among us.

Voyah Free; a very good looking SUV

The Voyah Free is presented as the flagship of the premium brand of this Chinese conglomerate. As it could not be otherwise, it is an electric car, with a powerful twin-motor engine and four-wheel drive which allows it to excel in acceleration. Goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. In addition, it is equipped with adjustable pneumatic suspension and its design, both exterior and interior, is inspired by yachts. The launch price of the Voyah Free in Spain is 77,790 euros.

Voyah Dream; truly familiar, luxurious and 100% electric

A true luxury minivan accompanies the Free in Dongfeng’s desire to position Voyah as a premium brand from the beginning. The Dream is aimed at both companies and individuals and by design, perceived quality and space, it is quite reminiscent of the Lexus LM. In any case, this It is 100% electric, it has seven seats in a 2+2+3 configuration and we still do not know its benefits. The price of the Voyah Dream starts at 94,600 euros.

MHero I; an off-roader taken from the Marvel universe

Spectacular is a word that falls short to define the MHero I, the first model of this brand as its name indicates and the only all-terrain vehicle on the market that seems to come directly from the world of fiction. It stands out for its design, it conveys quality in its interior but the most fascinating thing is its technology. With 1,088 HP of power and 1,400 Nm of torque, this electric 4×4 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and yet it declares a range of 450 km. This exclusive MHero I has a price of 158,037 euros.

Dongfeng Box; electric bestseller genes

It was one of the models that attracted the most attention at the brand’s debut event in Spain. Only 4 meters long, this urban electric vehicle has more than optimal space for 4 adults and a good trunk, guarantees up to 340 km of WLTP autonomy and is capable of charging 200 km in 8 minutes. It also stands out for the 14 ADAS – driving aids – that it comes as standard and for its price, about 21,000 euros without aids included.

Ready for takeoff

The Voyah Dream and Free are already available in our market as well as the Mhero I, however, for the Dongfeng Box to be commercialized we will have to wait until September. Likewise, in April 2025 the Dongfeng 007, a coupe sedan from the D segment to which we also had access at the presentation of the brand but for which we do not have definitive data. A month later, in May 2025, the Voyah Passion, another larger and more luxurious sedan. However, the most curious thing is that the Voyah brand will debut earlier, in December of this same year, a C-segment SUV that is a mystery to date.

Dongfeng: when it arrives in Spain and with which dealers and prices

Dongfeng has more than 50 years of tradition in China and has been a shareholder of the Stellantis Group for more than a decade as well. Of the 2 million vehicles it sold last year, more than 230,000 ended up far from China, in an expansion strategy that will accelerate in the coming years and in which they want Europe to play an important role.

Dongfeng arrives in Spain with a strategy of extensive warranty and free first maintenance

The roadmap in Spain contemplates the opening of 21 dealerships this year, but in 2025, there will be a total of 35. The third pillar, in addition to this wide range and sales network, will be after-sales, and the brand has already announced a 3-year free maintenance plan for all Voyah brand customers.

Lettermark

An expert and passionate about motors and communication in all its forms, I joined Car and Driver at the end of 2007 and since 2016 I have run this site. A journalist by vocation and training, I maintain good contacts in the sector and I try to ensure that the information you read here is the most immediate, complete and truthful. But I also do tests, comparisons, news, interviews… and in my ‘free’ time I raise three small children, which – by far – is the hardest job of all I have ever done.
