The company behind this initiative is GreenYellow Colombia and explained in a statement replicated by the newspaper what the installation was like.

“Since 2021 we offer CO2 refrigeration, an all-natural coolant. One of the great advantages of this system goes beyond the use of this refrigerant: it has advanced technology, such as expansion valves and electronic motors in all the evaporators and in the gas cooler,” said Romain Viscaye, Energy Efficiency expert at GreenYellow.

The warehouse in which this new technology was implemented is the Wow Success of Envigado, Antioquia, where customers will now be able to feel a respite in the premises when it is very hot in the municipality.

“We started with very important projects, such as the conversion of our cold systems and refrigerators to natural gases, which have a much lower impact on the environment.“, indicated in the aforementioned media Luis Gabriel Rosero, National Director of Maintenance Services of Grupo Éxito.
