This futuristic technology has been patented by Toyota and will save many hours in paint shops.
The Toyota GR Supra can also be painted in the color of your choice without going through the traditional process.
The color changes in a vehicle they are very laborious processes and, therefore, quite expensive. For this reason, many turn to vinyl the car, a much cheaper option.
But that could change with the new technology that has just been patented Toyota.
A futuristic patent
Toyota has explained in a statement what this is about. revolutionary technology which, apparently, was recorded in the United States in the year 2022.
In summary, it is a process that avoid having to repaint the car in the traditional way.
To do this, you would first have to paint the car with a special neutral white paint and then put it in a cabin-oven.
When heat acts up to a temperature on this special paint, its molecules can be modified with a ‘color modulator’ that emits another patented device.
And put the color you want
This modulator applies to the front, sides and rear of the car. And as this passes beam of light, paint molecules they modify their composition and the bodywork changes color progressively.
The desired color can be chosen in advance at the beginning of the process. And everything is controlled by a powerful computer which manages the light emitter as well as several strategically arranged temperature sensors under the sheet vehicle.
