Summer discounts are usually the most anticipated of the year. With them begins the season of looking for the best clothing and accessories for the summer season and the opportunity to purchase autumn-winter products at a better price.

Previously, the summer sales period in stores was limited between July 1 and the end of August. However, in 2012 the Government released the campaignsallowing each company or store to decide the specific dates on which to hang their posters with attractive discounts.

This stage is also crucial for businesses due to the sales increase and the opportunity to dispose of the stock of items. In this year’s winter sales, according to data published by the Cetelem Observatory, Spaniards spent an average of 345 euros, 25% more compared to 2023.

The main clothing brands start their summer sales in mid-June, between the 12th and 22nd; or at the beginning of July. As companies do not usually announce the date on which this campaign will begin too far in advance, we must look back to see what strategy they followed last year.

  • Inditex: The Inditex group (Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Oysho…) may start with its discounts on June 22 in physical stores and the day before it will start, as always, online and in the application .
  • Mango: is one of the firms that kicks off this period, starting June 20 it is likely that we will begin to see certain garments from their establishments on sale.
  • Tendam Group (Women’s Secret, Cortefiel, Springfield, Pedro del Hierro): it already has some discounts on its website since June 5 and in store from June 6 and they will last until August 31.
  • H&M: eLast year, the sales began with exclusive access for members on June 20 and 21 in the application. In 2024, they may also start around the 19th and 20th for those “VIP” clients.

Each autonomous community establishes a different datealthough most usually set the limit as August 31 or September 1.
