Before his 40th birthday arrived, the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerbergdecided to treat himself to a luxurious yacht valued at 300 million dollars.

The first time the ship was seen in the United States was at the end of March, when it docked in Port Lauderdale, Florida, after having traveled across the Atlantic. But now, as the European summer is getting closer and closer, the magnate moved the ship to the Sea Club, one of the most exclusive marinas in Mallorca, Spain.

The Facebook founder’s boat is called launchpad and was built by Feadship, a Dutch company founded in 1949 and which has become one of the most prestigious yacht manufacturers in the world.

On the exterior of the ship, white and navy blue predominate. Its length is 118 meters, it weighs 5,000 tons, the hull is made of steel with an aluminum superstructure and it is powered by four engines, which give it a maximum speed of 24 knots.

Among its most innovative features is that it has underwater lights and anchor GPS. Its decks are three in total, as well as ample space in the bow to relax and enjoy any voyage.

According to the SuperYacht Times site, two companies participated in the elegant design of the Launchpad: Espen Øino International, on the outside, and Zuretti Interior Design, on the inside.

The specialized media also highlights that it has a capacity for 24 guests and a crew of 48 people.

Although there are almost no photographs of the Launchpad from the inside, The Sun reported that it has a small cinema, jacuzzi, solarium, beauty center and an area with direct access to the water for bathers. The ship’s heliport is located on the upper deck.

Zuckerberg had been observing the luxury yacht since at least December 2023. At that time, the British media reported, the billionaire was seen at the Feadship shipyard when the Launchpad had another name: Project 1010.

In March of this year, once it had special permission to be imported, the mega ship made its maiden voyage from the Netherlands to the United States. Shortly afterward she moved to Panama, according to Business Insider.
