International Workplace Group plc, the world’s largest provider of hybrid work solutions with brands such as Spaces and Regus, has announced the opening of its new flexible work center under the Regus brand. This space will be located in the ATRIA building, located at 16 Ribera del Loira street, near IFEMA, in the Barajas district, and will be called Regus Campo de las Unidas.

The group’s expansion includes bringing the hybrid work model to peripheral neighborhoods and less central areas, which will allow residents of areas such as Barajas to put the concept of the “15-minute City” into practice. This means that residents have everything they need less than 15 minutes from their home, thus improving the balance between their personal and professional lives.

The new Regus Campo de las Unidas center will offer private offices, meeting rooms and coworking spaces, allowing companies and individuals to find a suitable place to carry out their activities. Furthermore, the serviceDesign Your Own Office» from IWG will allow companies to adapt their spaces according to their specific needs.

The group also has a center under the Spaces brand in Barajas, which underlines its commitment to offering flexible work solutions that adapt to the current demands of the labor market. Likewise, International Workplace Group plc continues its strategic expansion in Spain, which is reflected in recent openings such as the center on Juan Luque de Tena street in Madrid.

Adopting this flexible working model offers numerous advantages, including cost reduction for companies. According to a study by the consulting firm Global Workplace Analytics, companies can save an average of €10,000 per employee by opting for this work format.

Driving the growth of flexible spaces

In 2023, the company signed agreements for 17 new flexible work centers, of which 15 will open this year, already having more than 70 operational centers in 28 cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Zaragoza, Logroño, Palma de Mallorca, Bilbao, Gijón, San Sebastián, Seville, Málaga, Valencia, etc. For the moment, the strategy is advancing steadily and it is expected to continue expanding its presence throughout Spanish territory.

With more than 4,000 locations in more than 120 countries, the group remains the world’s leading provider of this type of space. Through this model, all its members can access all the group’s locations and services through the application, thus facilitating an integrated and global experience.

In this context, Philippe Jimenez, general director of IWG in Spain, expressed that: «This new location reinforces our commitment to providing flexible work solutions that meet the needs of companies and professionals in strategic areas. Our goal is to support the growing trend towards hybrid work and contribute to the creation of more connected and efficient communities. This new center will allow people to work closer to home, thus improving their quality of life and promoting a healthy balance between work and personal life.

Furthermore, the executive added: «With the expansion in peripheral neighborhoods and less central areas, we are facilitating access to quality work spaces in areas where these options were not previously available. This not only benefits local professionals and businesses, but also drives the economic development of these communities.”
