The future Cavallinos will be born in the Ferrari e-Building

The future Ferraris will be born in the e-Building, the new plant of the Italian manufacturer that has just been inaugurated and from where its first fully electric model will come out, of which many details are not yet known, beyond the fact that it will go on sale in 2025. .

It is a 25-meter-high enclosure that occupies an area of 42,000 square meters and about 200 million euros have been invested in its construction. The letter “e” in its name is not for electric cars, but for the concepts of energy, evolution and environment.

And one of the objectives of Ferrari e-Building is to achieve the highest energy performance. To this end, more than 3,000 solar panels capable of producing 1.3 MW were installed on the roof, while more than 60% of the energy used for motor and battery testing will be recovered to power new processes and by the end of the year it is expected that only reused energy will be used.

Although the Ferrari e-Building will produce the first 100% electric Cavallino, the plant was also designed to produce and develop combustion, hybrid and electric engines. Likewise, high voltage batteries and axles will be manufactured.

A key element in the design of the e-Building was to focus on the well-being of the more than 300 people who will work there, with ergonomic workstations, relaxation areas, an ideal combination of natural and artificial light, and even robots that adapt to the needs of each worker.
