Nobinaone of the most important transport operators in Sweden, has awarded the CAF Group the supply of a total of 88 Solaris electric buses, urban and interurban. The delivery of the units is scheduled between 2024 and 2025. and the volume of the agreement exceeds 50 million euros.

On this occasion, The operator has decided to acquire 55 units of the Urbino 15 LE model for the Skåne region, 15 similar units for the Värmland region, and finally 18 units of the Urbino 18 articulated model that will serve the Swedish town of Malmö, as detailed by CAF.

CAF electric buses

This is a new order for Solaris electric buses for Sweden in a short period of time, after several contracts obtained last year, among which the supply of 55 Urbino 15 LE electric buses for this same operator destined to operate in Stockholm stood out. and the 23 electric buses for the city of Kristianstad.

The vehicles destined for the Skåne and Värmland regions will be Solaris Urbino 15 LE, a three-axle vehicle suitable for both urban and interurban service.

It will be equipped with the so-called Scandinavian package, which adapts it to the difficult climatic conditions of Sweden, allowing its operation throughout the day, with night charging using a plug-in system.

As for the Solaris Urbino 18 units, it is an articulated model with modular propulsion and equipped with the latest battery technology, and will be destined to operate in Malmö.

On the other hand, Solaris has also been awarded a new order for hydrogen buses for which it will supply 15 12-meter units to the German operator Oberbergische Verkehrgesellschaft (OVAG), which will be used to reinforce the bus fleet of the German city of Gummersbach, located in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
