New Fiat Fastback Abarth

The Fastback is sold in Argentina with the 1.3 Turbo 270 engine with a power of 175 hp and 270 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds; while the Abarth version features the Abarth Turbo 270 engine, which after some tweaks, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.

The Fiat Fastback Abarth is in the academy at the Autodromo.

This version is complemented by a double exhaust outlet, active torque distribution and “Poison Mode”. To opt for the latter, you have to press the button on the steering wheel that modifies the entire setup of the car with greater sensitivity of the accelerator pedal, a sportier mapping of the gear changes and a firmer steering mode. To command these superior engines, the transmission is also up to the task.

In design, it is characterized by:

  • Coupe aesthetics
  • Trunk capacity provided by the silhouette, with 600 liters
  • SUV performance, with good ground clearance and entry and exit angles
  • Performance, with a Turbo engine with the highest power in the segment

Fiat Pulse Abarth, the details

In terms of engine, it is powered by the 1.3-liter turbo gasoline engine with 175 HP and 270 Nm of torque, with a six-speed automatic transmission. The conventional one has the 1.3-liter Firefly gasoline engine with 99 HP and 127 Nm and the 1.0-liter turbo gasoline engine with 125 HP and 200 Nm.

The Pulse Abarth is another model that can be tested on the road course.

According to Fiat, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 215 km/h.

Regarding the set-up, Abarth intervened the suspension system, which are harder than the city versions and are 10 millimeters lower. Added to this is a new front stabilizer bar with a larger diameter.

A great peculiarity comes from its double exhaust, which emits a louder sound, depending on the driving mode chosen: Normal, Manual and Poison. The latter, which delivers 100% engine power, is activated from a red button located on the steering wheel, and adjusts various aspects of the electronics.

The driver will find a fully digital dashboard, with a design oriented towards sporty driving, where in addition to a lap counter and speedometer it has a turbo pressure and G-Force meter.
