Alejandro Char, Mayor of Barranquilla; Jorge Mario Velásquez, president of Grupo Argos, and Christian Daes, COO of Tecnoglassannounced an agreement for the construction of the road circuit between Vía 40, Calle 98 and Carrera 75A, as part of the Development Plan 2024 – 2027, reported the Argos Business Group.

According to the three entities, these works will give greater permeability to this northern sector of the city, offering a new alternative to improve mobility conditions by reducing travel times.

The investment for the construction of the two new road sections by the Urban Development Business of Grupo Argos and Tecnoglass amounts to COP 15,000 million pesos.

The new industrial, commercial and housing developments contemplated in the Territorial Planning Plan, POT, for this area of ​​Barranquilla, contemplate important investments for the next 10 years that will strengthen the collection capacity of the District, while promoting the city as a business destination.

“We never tire of giving good news to Barranquilla. Dialoguing and building together, we are announcing the construction of two very important road sections to connect Vía 40 with Carrera 75ª and Calle 98 of the road network in the north of Barranquilla. This city is investment, growth, development and opportunities. Barranquilla is its people and its companies.”indicated the Mayor Alex Char.

“This corridor will enable new industrial, commercial and housing developments so that Barranquilla continues to advance in its development, offering new employment opportunities and attracting investment”expressed Jorge Mario Velasquez, president of Grupo Argos.

The civil works will last 12 months and will generate around 150 jobs.

“This agreement is the result of an open and constructive conversation between the Mayor’s Office of Barranquilla and two companies that share a common purpose: to continue contributing to the development and growth of the city”he pointed Christian Daes, COO of Tecnoglass.
