The Board of Directors of Corficolombiana appointed Milena López Rocha as the new president of the entity, replacing María Lorena Gutiérrez, current CEO of Grupo Aval.
He is an economist at Harvard University and has an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School. In addition, he has more than 20 years of professional experience, during which he served as CFO of Ecopetrol SA and Cenit Transporte y Logística de Hidrocarburos.
Likewise, she worked as a capital markets manager at Sociedades Bolívar of the Bolívar Group and was a partner at Newfoundland Capital Management in Brazil.
In addition to this, She has held different positions at JP Morgan Chase Bank in London and New York and was general director of Public Credit and from the National Treasury of the Ministry of Finance.
He has also been a member of boards of directors such as Banco Davivienda, Taesa, Cenit, Compañía de Seguros Bolívar, Invercolsa, Ocensa, ISA, CTEEP, Ecopetrol, FDN and Isagén.
In the first quarter of 2024, Corficolombiana, reported net profits of the order of 221,574 million pesos. These results were mainly explained by three factors: the closing of the construction stage of the 4G road projects, the positive performance of the energy and gas sector and high financial expenses due to the persistence of high levels of interest rates.
Likewise, the ‘Sustainable Corfi’ strategy continued to be consolidated. Specifically, the progress in the “Misión la Guajira” project led by Grupo Aval, the Government and the communities with the support of Corficolombiana and Promigas was highlighted.
Additionally, for the second consecutive year, Corficolombiana was included in the Sustainability Yearbook, The Sustainability Yearbook, published by S&P Global.
