Michelin unveiled its new tire commitment for Colombia, this time focused on high performance motorcycles. This is the Anakee Road, designed for the segment trail (90% road); the Power 6, with which it is aimed at sports bikes (100% road) and the Power GP2, focused on the category track day (50% road and 50% sport).

Likewise, the spokesperson clarified that durability depends on the use that customers give it, which can range from about 10,000 kilometers for the Power 6, which is for racing lovers, to 18,000 kilometers, in the case of tires for those who drive for leisure.

“We are constantly investing in the development of our motorcycle tyre ranges to remain the benchmark in this field, both for our end users and for manufacturers. After the difficult market conditions in 2023, we are convinced that motorcyclists are eager to get back on the road and also to have fun on the track,” said Edouard De Peufeilhoux, Director of Michelin’s 2-wheel Business Line.

Motorcycles with displacements between 100cc and 125cc continue to be the preferred choice for Colombian buyers, representing 49.61% of total registrations in May. In second place are motorcycles from 150cc to 200cc, with a share of 24.87%.
