The company will explore strategic areas of newly acquired properties with attractive potential for critical elements.

Dios Exploration begins, as planned, follow-up field work at LeCaron, Lithium-Nord, East-Clarkie, Nemiscau-Nord and Pontax-Nord properties in the James Bay Lower East core greenstone belt.

“We are excited about this exploration campaign, which will allow us to make up for time lost during last summer’s wildfires. We will explore strategic areas of newly acquired properties with attractive potential for critical elements,” said MJ Girard, president of Dios.

Follow-up exploration will focus on the first priority Lithium-Nord and LeCaron projects. Other follow-up work will focus on intermediate priority work at East Clarkie and Eastern LeCaron, including recently acquired claims.

A first survey is planned at Pontax-Nord and a follow-up at Nemiscau-Nord. A large part of the claims remains to be explored.

The focus is on lithium-bearing pegmatites (LCT type) in selected favorable target areas. Rocks with a fertile signature are observed in the most northwestern part of Lithium-Nord, where anomalous values were also obtained: values of the Nb/Ta versus Mg/Li ratios corresponding to fertile magma.

This corresponds to the western periphery of the Uskawasis3 unit as mapped by the Government of Quebec, just south of the lake sediments that produce high lithium values. This sector may be favorable for the appearance of LCT pegmatites or at least more evolved magma.

Due to wildfires and limited time, ground and helicopter access, last fall’s field program covered less than 12% of claims across 4 projects. We are very happy to start new field work.

Gold potential in Clarkie and LeCaron

Dios had discovered a Wacke unit at Clarkie grading up to 8.88 g/t gold and 6.8 g/t gold in association with 2 percent pyrite and quartz veinlets.

God reported on LeCaron the Conductor showing discovery in 2010 with 2.074 g/t gold over 4.5 m in channel sampling, 1.286 g/t Au over 2.5 m and 9.64 g/t Au over 0.7 m (government archives, SIGEOM).
