Rodolfo Sancho is already back in Spain. After four intense weeks in Thailand on the occasion of the trial against his son Daniel, the popular actor resumes his life in Fuerteventura with his wife, Xenia Tostado, and his daughter Jimena, waiting for know the final sentence.
No one has been indifferent to this tragic case since it blew up last August. The presenter has joined the messages of support that a few days ago were sent to Rodolfo by such well-known faces as Lydia Bosch, Cayetana Guillén Cuervo and María Adánez. Carlos Sobera (63 years old).
The presenter of ‘First Dates’ has given an interview to Lecturas magazine in which he has opened his heart talking about his most personal and unknown side, and has also spoken about the situation of Rodolfo Sancho, whom he has known for more than two decades after coinciding in the filming of ‘Al Salir de Clase’.
Although he assures that they are not close friends, Carlos has great affection for the ‘Ministry of Time’ interpreter, so much so that he did not hesitate to contact him when the scandal hit the media. “We have seen each other at some premiere, we have congratulated each other, we have called each other. We spoke when his father died. I wrote to him when all this happened…”, he tells us.
The presenter of ‘No Man’s Land’ declared to our magazine that he wanted to contact Rodolfo, aware of the bad moment he was going through with his son accused of a murder in Thailand. “I wrote to him to tell him that I knew perfectly well the moment he was going through and that he should know that I was there, that if he needed anything, he could tell me.”words full of encouragement and support that the actor did not hesitate to respond. “Mand he answered very kindly, thanking me, with a lot of affection,” Carlos confessed in our pages.
However, as Carlos told us, everything stayed there. The presenter preferred to give him his space, aware that what the actor needs is calm and tranquility. “I have left him alone because he is immersed in an emotional process, which has now been complicated by the legal process, which in turn will have more emotional consequences,” the presenter noted. Far from criticizing the way in which Rodolfo has approached the situation, Sobera has empathized with him. “I think that You have to allow a reasonable amount of time for him to handle the situation as he sees fit.. There will be time to console him and encourage him,” she concluded.
The future of Daniel Sancho, at stake: the final sentence
On May 3, the trial against Daniel Sancho in the Koh Samui court came to an end and was pending sentencing. From now on, a critical stage begins that will definitively conclude the next August 29 when we know the final sentence that the young chef will have to face after the death of Edwin Arrieta.
The defense team is satisfied with the proceeding of the trial and only considers two alternatives: reckless or intentional homicide. Now it would be necessary to know the degree since depending on that it will be more or less years in prison. In both cases, premeditation in the death of Edwin Arrieta and, therefore, the maximum penalty would be completely ruled out. In fact, lawyer Marcos García Montes has assured that anything other than that will be appealed. “We play with many stepsbecause eight months ago we were on a death sentence and we have been going down to minor crimes,” Ramón Chipirrás recalled with hope.
