The miniseries ‘Who killed him?’ revived the hypotheses that exist about the murder of Paco Stanley 25 years ago outside the restaurant ‘El charco de las ranas’ in Mexico City. And it not only details how the armed attack occurred, it also delves into the relationship that the driver had with his colleagues.
Among these people stands out Mario Bezares, a Mexican actor who had a solid working relationship with Paco Stanley to the point that they were considered ‘best friends’ in the eyes of the public. However, many questioned the veracity of their relationship after the murder.
And rumors arose about an alleged personal difference between the actors due to a third person: Brenda Yamilé Jiménez, better known as Brenda Bezares.
For several years, the former beauty queen suffered constant attacks from Stanley, which were taken by the public as ‘practical jokes’. The host not only improvised a song in her honor in a live broadcast, he also joked about her fidelity to Mario Bezares by suggesting that her youngest son, Alan, he looked like him and not the boy.
All this, coupled with an alleged testimony against Mario Bezares, caused the public to doubt the loyalty of the actor to his friend and vice versa.
Rumors about Alan’s paternity gained strength after the death of Paco Stanley and Brenda Bezares was quick to defend both his integrity and his family before the media.
“That is not true. From day 1 (of the investigations) there was a DNA test where Alan has always been the son of his father Mario. It hurt me at that time because I couldn’t defend my son like I defended my husband,” he declared in an interview for ‘De Primera Mano’.
In other interviews he has openly explained that his son Alan has light hair and blue eyes by inheritance. And she assures that in his own family there are several people with these characteristics due to his ancestors.
Currently, Alan does not appear in the national artistic media, however, he has a public account on TikTok, where he usually publishes short comedy sketches or tells anecdotes from his daily life. He is around 29 years old.
“When you see the face of Mari Bezares’ son… he looks like Mario Bezares and he is very similar, even in his gestures. We saw him nervous in the documentary, we saw him uncomfortable and of course. This person has been on a visa for 24 years and 24 years that he has been with a shadow that has to do with one of the most important media scandals that have been experienced in Mexico,” commented Maryfer Centeno regarding the physical resemblance between father and son.
