“I’m going to tell something that I’ve never said before,” were some of the phrases left by the interview offered by the former figure of Channel 13, Ángeles Araya, in the new season of the program “Pandora’s Box”, on La Red, which she presented on screen the replacement of Camila Andrade in the direction of the space, Eva Gómez.

The former morning host of Andrónico Luksic’s signal was the first face of the renewed “Pandora’s Box”, where she talked about her time on TV, her current job on radio Pudahuel, and an unusual romantic story.

The confession of Ángeles Araya

“It’s hard for me to come to interviews. It’s hard for me, because I feel like someone has always been on the other side, it’s like I’m intimidated, like I’m going to say something brutal, it’s like that’s much more difficult for me,” said the current radio host Pudahuel.

“But today I have accepted invitations that have made sense to me deep down, I have gone to other programs more and I have had a good time, like I am enjoying TV, from the other side,” added the journalist, who on her return to radio broadcasting claimed to feel “more freedom” and closer “to the public.”

“From animation one is so overexposed, that in the end you protect yourself much more, instead of being a guest or working on the radio, the freedom is much broader,” said Araya, who did not evade a question related to her alleged romantic relationship with a Channel 13 executive, which would have led her to take over hosting television programs.

“Everyone has the possibility, they have the freedom to have a relationship with whoever they want, because the body is one’s own and I defend freedom above all things. But from there to linking you with someone to make yourself look bad, that seems to me to be unfair, it is offensive and it does harm to the system and it does harm to society,” he explained.

At the end, the journalist recalled an unusual romantic story with a doctor who treated her mother for a neurological illness, and with whom she reunited after 20 years reporting for a television program.

“Suddenly, 8:30 in the morning, I’m on the air, and a hundred thousand messages from all the reporters fall on my cell phone. ‘He’s in all the chats,’ and the whole story, and one of the messages said his name,” he counted.

“I automatically go on air. It was like I went back 20 years and remembered him, but I didn’t remember his face, but rather his name. Like my mom came over me, then like suddenly, I kind of remembered my mom and I kind of smiled, and he was seeing it on the screen, and he said ‘oh, I’m crazy about her,’” ended.
