Wainraich surprised Pablo Rago when mentioning his marital past with Pettovello, who has recently been in the eye of the hurricane for the five tons of food withheld by the Government and the hiring of employees through an agreement with the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI).

Rago, with a nervous smile, recalled: “A long time ago, another life almost. 30 years ago.” The driver, seeking to calm the situation, emphasized that this chapter of Rago’s life occurred long before Pettovello gained public notoriety. “We were very little. “It was the only time I got married.”added the actor, although he clarified that they only went through the Civil Registry.
When Wainraich wanted to delve into the reasons for the breakup, Rago, with sympathy, put a stop to it: “We’re not going to talk about that! I have not had contact with her for 30 years.”
Faced with the driver’s insistence on the public impact of his former marriage, Rago misinterpreted his words and, thinking that he was referring to himself, responded: “No! “I don’t read anything!” Then understanding the joke, he commented with amusement: “Something happens to you again… Wasn’t everything that happened enough?”
The topic culminated with a spicy question from Wainraich: “And what did they do when they were married? “They ordered food and left it in the refrigerator for a month and a half?”. Laughing, she shook her head, and the conversation took other directions.
It is not the first time that Pablo Rago refers to her marriage to Pettovello. In an interview, the actor recalled that period of his life with a certain nostalgia and humor.

“I got married young (smiles), then I got divorced and met María (Carambula), the mother of my son”, he commented. He also expressed surprise at Pettovello’s current role in politics: “That my ex-wife is now a politician and has become one of the most important people in the country is beyond me.”
Pablo Rago and Pettovello married in September 1993, when he was just 21 years old and at the peak of his career with “Friends are Friends.” According to the chronicles of the time, they met five years earlier in a bowling alley and, despite Pettovello’s initial doubts about the age difference, they ended up falling in love and getting married, although their marriage only lasted a year and a half.
