Malena Guinzburg is experiencing a great personal and professional moment. It happens that a few weeks ago, she was notified that Pope Francis himself had invited her along with 100 comedians from around the world to participate in a cultural event at the Vatican, where she would also have the opportunity to meet him.
She celebrated with great emotion the news that finally came true this Friday. Malena was part of a private audience in which He was able to chat briefly with Francisco and present him with a special gift that he brought especially from Buenos Aires: two boxes of Havanna alfajores.
“These are new, with salt. I brought them for you to try and just in case you can’t eat with salt, I brought you the regular ones because I guess you must miss alfajores,” he said sympathetically. The Pope asked her if she could eat the two boxes and she endorsed the decision: “Of course, don’t share them.”
Before leaving, she asked him for a message for the Argentines and he responded: “Let them defend the greatness of the country.”
From her Instagram account, Malena shared the minute by minute of her trip and even asked for advice on the look she should wear for that occasion. In addition, she uploaded a compilation of cholula photos with colleagues she admires: from Jimmy Fallon to Jim Gaffigan, including Whoopi Goldberg, Florinda Meza and Stephen Colbert among many others.
