“They highlight abuses, point out inappropriate behavior without sowing alarm or terror, anxiety or fear, as much communication does; awaken the critical sense by making people laugh and smile. They do it by telling life stories, narrating reality, according to their original point of view,” said Pope Francis.

“The invitation they gave us was on June 15, but they changed it to the 14th and that is my mother’s birthday, may she rest in peace, so it was a very clear sign for me that I had to do it,” Chumel said in an interview with Joaquín López-Dóriga. “Not only was the meeting with his holiness something incredible and difficult to believe, but the whole atmosphere in which we spent here and with the people I am living with, the place, is surreal.”
The Mexican presenter’s reaction comes after confirming the presence of big Hollywood stars such as Jimmy Fallon, Chris Rock and Whoopi Godlberg. Each of the guests had the opportunity to greet and chat for a moment with Pope Francis.
