Arturo Almarcha, known artistically as Almácor, lives a very special present on a professional level. At 26 years old, the man from Alicante has managed to carve out a space among the most important urban artists of our country after his participation in the last edition of the ‘Benidorm Fest’ where he dazzled everyone with ‘Brillos platino’. A key song in her career that is allowing her to fulfill a new dream: for her voice to be the Spanish anthem of Euro 2024.
And it is that ‘Platinum shine’ has been the song chosen by RTVE to encourage the Spanish team on his exciting path in Germany. A great milestone for Almácor who, in a talk with AS, still credits everything that is happening to him. But how does this arise? hit? What was her inspiration to compose it?
Almácor tells it with a smile on his face. “It was after going to the Harry Styles concert in Madrid. I felt there an incredible energy and a special glow like when you see someone on the street and you see a glow on their face (…) I was clear that I wanted an upbeat song to convey what I felt in that show, that extreme happiness . I was coming from making a darker sound and I fancied something more upbeat and happy,” she says.
With this song, ‘Brillos platino’, the man from Alicante feels comfortable and enjoys each of his performances to the fullest: “I feel very good in this style, it is what best fits me right now in the moment I am in now. It maintains my essence because I want my songs to be positive. I have found what I want.”
Almácor and the National Team
The one from Villena fully trusts the team led by Luis de la Fuente and He affirms that it would be “a dream come true” for his song to play in the locker room of Álvaro Morata, Dani Carvajal and company. “Since the day they told me that the song is going to be the Euro Cup song, with the football fan that I am… Football and the National Team unite us all under the same feeling, that is what I want to convey with ‘Brillos platino’” Almácor insists.
“I go with the National Team, although I had my time when I liked Barça and Atleti (…) SHey about Villena, my city team. A very small team, but we are there in the fight to see if we rise,” he adds regarding his football tastes.
Almácor’s list
“The coach knows much more about football than I do. If he has made this list it is for a reason, but I miss Puyol if Sergio Ramos had not already retired because of what he means (…) We have an absolute great team, from the center backs to all positions. We can surprise you,” he tells AS with total optimism.
Likewise, the young artist trusts them “to death”: “They don’t put us as favorites, but I like that. This way the players don’t have as much pressure (…) My dream final would be Spain against Italy, it would be epic or a Spain-France, This is how we teach Mbappé that you can’t win everything.”.
