Dan Breitman began his work in the media years ago and from that moment on he managed to captivate the audience. However, on rare occasions the artist tells details of his personal life, which many are unaware of.
During his visit to Almorzando con Juana, Dan talked about his new projects: “I’m going to return with my one-man show called I wanted a musical and what, which is the story of my life, as a sensitive child with adaptation problems with wanting to sing and dance and not being able to do it because everyone wanted to play soccer…”.
“When they went to the club everyone played soccer when there were activities to do and I would escape and go to the theater because there was always something very artistic.”, he told about what interested him since he can remember.
Then, the artist revealed an experience he had: “One day my grandmother came and told my mother that she had just watched the news and that they had made a report on the characteristics of the homosexual boy and that I had all of them.”.
“It’s tragicomic, she said that a journalist passed the report and I was on the couch between my mother and my grandmother who looked at me like… ‘let’s see if the baby…’, and that’s when I started therapy.”, he recalled about the determination his parents made.
“The most traumatic climax, which to me is a tragedy, was when my old man took me to a psychologist who was a specialist in sensitive children, because he had been treating me with mines, and the guy kept telling me, Tigre, ‘How are you doing, Tigre, how are you?’ tiger goes’ and I wanted to sing like Lisa Minnelli”.
“He told me that I had to like football with a pipe, smoke, all flags, I don’t know what it was. He gave me benches and made me take penalties and told me ‘come on tiger’. Instead of kicking the ball, I dodged it, that was terrible for me.”.
After ensuring that he could not talk to his parents at that time about his sexual orientation, the artist recalled that he had dealings with that man for a while and then he stopped going: “I told my dad I didn’t want to go anymore.”.
