José Peláez breaks down when remembering his father’s story
In the June 15 program, José Peláez moved the audience by speaking emotionally about his father, highlighting his bravery: “M.My dad spent 13 years in Cuba. He was a political prisoner. He was a hero to many people. There were many people who even He managed to get out of Cuba, people who were being persecuted, people who were going to be killed or people who were going to have problems. He helped many people and for that reason he ended up being imprisoned for 13 years.”
The presenter of ‘The Great Celebrity Chef’ added that it is difficult for him to imagine how much his father suffered by spending many years behind bars, but that was not a reason for him to give him affection; something of which he is very proud.
“It is very difficult for me to imagine the trauma that all this can cause you and despite the great traumas that my father may have had, my father was always an inexhaustible source of love. I will always feel very proud of the father I had. and that’s why I say that if I become half as good a person as he was, I will always be satisfied.. So wherever you are, I love you very much dad.”, ended.
