Born in the French capital in 1932 as Nicole Dreyfus, she entered the artistic world very early as she was the daughter of actors, which is why she made her film debut at the age of 14 in ‘La maison sous la mer’.

She adopted Anouk as her stage name, that of her first character, and as her last name she adopted Aimée, which had been suggested to her by the respected Prévert, also a surrealist artist and writer who was a friend of figures such as Picasso and Miró.
Her film career was propelled by her role as Maddalena in ‘La Dolce Vita’ in 1960, although her consecration came six years later with ‘Un homme et une femme’, which earned her a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.
