‘Service, commitment and duty’ is the motto personally chosen by Philip VI to commemorate the tenth anniversary of his reign, accompanied by an emblem that integrates his coat of arms, which will be in force for one year, the period in which the House of the King will prolong the celebration with more events.

The three words chosen by the head of state, headed by the label ‘X Anniversary’, aim to summarize what has been the line of action of the monarch since he relieved Juan Carlos I on the throne ten years ago.

It is the first time that Don Felipe uses a legend to illustrate an anniversary of his career at the head of the Crown. The design of the emblem that the Casa del Rey has unveiled integrates on one side the coat of arms of Felipe VI, although not complete, and the more focused legend.

The composition has been prepared in three versions: one with white lettering with a crimson background, that of the king’s banner, and two in black and white, one with the script also crimson red, and the third with a white background. The font used for the motto and heading is “Ibarra”, in upper case (upper case) and in lower case (lower case).

As it is the first decade of the reign, the commemoration will take place for a year, in which the aim is to organize events and visits to cities and small municipalities in order to “bring the kings closer to the people”, according to sources.

Throughout the day this Wednesday, when ten years have passed since the proclamation, the kings, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, will participate in various events in the Royal Palace of Madrid and its surroundings.

The deputies value the work of Felipe VI in his ten years as king.

This Tuesday, the eve of the commemoration, the king expressed his commitment to service and total dedication to Spain “for many years.” He was at the headquarters of the Higher Center for National Defense Studies (CESEDEN), where he closed the XXV General Staff course of the Armed Forces.

Already this Wednesday, the President of the Government, Pedro Sanchezhas congratulated Felipe VI for his ten years of reign and for having served Spain during this decade with “exemplarity”, “loyalty” and “transparency”.

“Today marks ten years since the proclamation of His Majesty Felipe VI. Congratulations on this first decade representing and serving Spain with exemplary character, loyalty and transparency,” the head of the Executive expressed in a message on the X social network.

For his part, the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóohas stressed that the monarchy is the institution that has brought “the most stability” to Spain, something that, as he has said, the political class has not done in this last decade.

“During these 10 years, Felipe VI has been the Spaniard who has done the most his duty and the monarchy, the institution that has brought the most stability to our country,” Feijóo assured in a message also in X.
