Britney Spears returned to social networks after the arrest of her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, who was arrested for driving while intoxicated in New York. Spears reactivated her social networks with what according to The Sun, this is a kind of hint to his ex-partner. The artist shared an image of a cocktail with a flower along with the phrase: “It’s the little things, you know?”. Shortly after, she posted one of her signature dancing videos from a hotel room, where she showed off several outfits, including a white and neon green mini dress, and a black and cream cocktail dress.
Britney’s brief comment has been taken by several Internet users as a mockery of Justin, because while he pays the consequences of his alcohol addiction (which he has publicly accepted), she stays healthy with simple pleasures.
Britney, who has had a very controversial presence on social networks, disabled the comments section of the publication to avoid speculation about the meaning of her message.
On Tuesday, Timberlake was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he ran a stop sign and swerved out of his lane in Upstate New York. According to court documents, the singer was stopped in his BMW by a police officer who determined that he was intoxicated due to “glassy, red eyes and the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath.”
A video released by TMZ showed Timberlake driving his gray 2025 BMW UT, which matched the police description. The officer also added that the musical artist “had slow speech, was unsteady, and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”
Timberlake, who is married and has two children with the actress Jessica Bielwould have spent Monday night with friends at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, in the Hamptons, before leaving them around 12:30 a.m. It was at that moment that the police detained him and, after refusing to take a test to determine his alcohol level, he was arrested on Main Street.
The singer was officially charged with a misdemeanor of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (DWI). Additionally, she received citations for running a stop sign and drifting out of her lane. If he is found guilty, Timberlake could face up to a year in prison.
