The Treasury has just updated its list of defaulterswhich this year has 7.9% more individuals who must more than 600,000 euros to the Tax Agency, although the number of debtor companies fell by 0.6%. Among those names there are once again well-known faces from the artistic, cultural or business fields.

One more time, Matthias Kuhn tops the list of celebrities who owe the most to the Treasury. Norma Duval’s husband is still unable to solve his financial problems and his multimillion-dollar debt is increasing even more. On the other side of the coin is the actress Patricia Condewhich after several years on this list, has managed to disappear by reducing its outstanding amount to below 600,000 euros.

Below are the celebrities who owe the most to the Treasury in 2024:

The German businessman Matthias Kühn still cannot pay off his stratospheric debt with the Tax Agency. Norma Duval’s husband is being investigated by the alleged creation of a network of shell companies to avoid paying more than 11 million euros to the Treasury.

As of December 31, 2023, the company Matthias Kühn Inversiones SLU had a debt of 1,095,639.91 euroswhile Punta de Manresa SL, also belonging to Kühn, must 6,938,725.88 euros. For its part, Balearic Investments and consultants SL has pending issues with the Treasury 4,346,303.17 euros and Balearic Management Investments and consultants SLU registers 6,032,411.46 euros of debt.

The Ruiz Mateos are other veterans on the Treasury’s list of defaulters. The family business Nueva Rumasa SA has not paid a single cent of the debt, which remains 8,926,414.32 euros. However, this year another of the clan’s companies, Inversiones Ruiz Mateos, disappeared, whose debt amounted to 1,285,025.64 euros in the list published in 2023.

Mario Conde has been considerably reducing his debt with the Tax Agency in recent years. The controversial former banker went from owing more than 12 million euros in 2019 to the 6,396,743.95 euros last year. However, this figure has not changed throughout 2023, and remains on the new list of defaulters.

Actress Paz Vega paid more than one million euros of her high debt to the tax authorities in 2022. In 2023, the figure is reduced by only 27,000 euros, so the actress is still far from falling below the 600,000 euro barrier, as her outstanding amount amounts to 1,743,199.82 euros.

Another famous person who has not paid a single euro of his outstanding debt is Diego Torres, former partner of Iñaki Urdangarin and mastermind of the Nóos Case. The businessman obtained the third degree four years ago and is out of prison, but he still owes 956,019.87 euros to the Treasury, exactly the same figure as in recent years.

The company Kulteperalia SL, belonging to the producer José Luis Moreno, recorded a debt of 951,540.74 euros, slightly increasing last year’s figure. The controversial ventriloquist is on provisional release after paying bail of three million euros in Operation Titella.

Makoke has recently been in the news for having to leave her house in an exclusive residential area in Madrid due to her problems with the Treasury. Kiko Matamoros’ ex-wife owed the Tax Agency 859,775.74 euros at the end of 2023, a figure that drops by almost 100,000 euros compared to the previous year, although it is not enough to avoid appearing on this list.

Who has not appeared for a few years is Kiko Matamoroswhich despite also maintaining a million-dollar debt with the public coffers, meets the Supreme Court’s criteria to be excluded from the list, since it only includes firm debts that have not been deferred or suspended.

The singer Merche remains on the list of defaulters, where she appears for the ninth consecutive year. Her debt reached over one million euros and, despite having managed to reduce it slightly in this time, in the last year it has remained unchanged, amounting to 856,737.39 euros.

The name of Luis Medina Abascal once again appears among the individuals who have a debt of more than 600,000 euros with the Treasury. Naty Abascal’s son reduced his outstanding amount in 2023 by just over 10,000 euros, currently owing a total of 640,802.34 euros.

The journalist and presenter Albert Castillón has been part of the Treasury’s list of defaulters since 2015, when he owed more than one million euros. His debt was reduced, although in recent years it has not changed and at the end of 2023 he had the same amount outstanding as the previous year: 701,895.61 euros.
