John has worked tirelessly in music for more than half a century, but feels the time has come to prioritize contact with his loved ones. Elton and his husband David Furnish (61) have two children: Zachary Jackson 13 years old and Elijah Joseph from 11.

When the interviewer asked if he had plans to go on tour again, the singer responded with a resounding “No.”

We have our kids, you know, they’re entering their teens now. We don’t want to miss out on anything. We want to be there for that. “It’s a crucial age, I think, in a boy’s life,” David said.

“He’s been working on this for 60 years, So it’s nice to have this time to spend at home with the family.”he added.

Elton John’s last tour was the widely acclaimed “Farewell Yellow Brick Road”which began on September 10, 2018 in North America and ended on July 8, 2023 in Stockholm, Sweden.

During the tour, the British artist performed for more than 6.25 million fans in various regions, including the United Kingdom, Europe, North America and Australia. The farewell tour was commercially successful and marked an emotional closure for the musician.

In the interview of Entertainment TonightElton also explained his initiative to put personal items up for sale through Ebay as a means of fundraising. This activity is part of Pride month.

“This is the seventh ‘Out the Closet’ “We have done this. This is our third event in America, we have done four in England and they have always been successful. I think it is better to sell the clothes to people who really appreciate them and the money goes to the AIDS Foundation,” said Elton.

The event “Rocket Man Resale” allowed collectors and fans to access exclusive pieces from Elton John’s closet, including Gucci jackets, Versace robes, custom Prada loafers and more affordable items such as historic concert t-shirts and baseball caps.

Elton said: “Most of these things have never been worn. We hope people come, love what they see and can take something away. They are just things and I like to let them go. I have always loved clothes but it is nice to let someone else enjoy them.”

Although he has no plans to return to touring, the British He is not retiring from the music scene completely.. Among his upcoming projects is the West End musical adaptation of The Devil Wears Pradawhich will feature a score by Elton and will run at London’s Dominion Theatre from October 2024.
