Miguel Rodríguez, president of the Association of Clinics, Sanatoriums and Private Hospitals of San Juan (ACLISA)warned of the scenario that may arise in the Province given the decision of the National Government to restrict increases to prepaid medicine companies.

According to Rodríguez, the slowdown imposed on the increase in prepaid fees will cause some San Juan clinics and sanatoriums to choose not to receive them or charge co-payments.

Before the microphones of Radio Sarmiento, the head of ACLISA stated: “We have not achieved that the prepaid in San Juan, which is a small but important market, the increases that have been given to the prepaid affiliates have not been reciprocated with the increases in tariffs for providers, and it is a fight that is taking place throughout the country. And unfortunately it is going to reach a point where either the prepayments are not attended to or they are charged co-payments.”

“It is a very complex situation like the one the country is experiencing, but in health, particularly we are in a very complex situation. Exactly, this is happening in all prepaid companies,” Rodríguez added.

Likewise, the president of ACLISA was asked if there will be any cuts to patients who are already receiving prepaid medical assistance and he answered: “That cannot happen, because service cuts usually occur from the beginning of the month, that is, if “You received hospitalization or treatment, a study, whatever and it is authorized, you will not have problems, that will be respected.”
