The renowned vallenato singer and composer Omar Geles died at the age of 57 last Tuesday, May 21 at the Erasmo Clinic of Valledupar.
Regarding this, La W spoke with the vallenato singer Álex Manga, who remembered the artist Omar Geles.

Likewise, he commented that a few days ago, Omar Geles was in the United States on a tour, “He had an accident in Miami, he was confined for a few hours in a clinic and as a friend I called him and told him that this was a warning, He had to be very careful with those things because he had hypertension. I think this was a big warning and suddenly the doctors in the United States did not diagnose his heart problem at the time.”
On the other hand, he highlighted that Geles was a great composer, “He had a very great ability to compose, It was an impressive thing to see, he composed things with a lot of coherence, with a lot of sense.”
Finally, he mentioned that Omar Geles had the ability to turn his own problem into a song. “That is admirable in a composer.”
