This hybrid technology allows the anatomical (with tomography and MRI) and functional (with PET and SPECT) knowledge of the patient to be complemented in a single study.

In the field of Radiotherapy, the Argentine Institution is equipped with two linear accelerators for medical use for Teletherapy (External Radiotherapy) and with a shielded room in which a team for High Dose Rate Brachytherapy treatments (Internal Radiotherapy) is housed. . Since its launch in 2018, the Radiotherapy Service assisted more than 1600 patients diagnosed with breast cancer, prostate cancer, cervical cancer, and head and neck cancer, among other oncological pathologies.

In November 2023, patients referred from the Reloncaví Health Service began to receive care there. Until now, through Fonasa, almost 60 compatriots had access to these treatments last generation.

The agreement signed in October 2023 between Fonasa and Intecnus will allow the region’s health services to be prioritized over the next 5 years, both in the development of the Radiotherapy Center based in Puerto Montt, and in the training of excellent human resources. which will allow the Reloncaví Region to contain demand in the approach to oncological pathology as long as its own Center is operational.
