Monmouth Medical Center seeks input on health care needs through community health assessment

Long Branch, New Jersey, June 5, 2024 – Monmouth Medical Center, as part of RWJBarnabas Health, is in the process of assessing the current health needs of Monmouth County residents for its 2024-2025 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).

As part of a broader community health needs assessment for 2024-2025, RWJBarnabas Health, in collaboration with health coalition partners, local health centers, local and county health departments, other institutional health care partners and community organizations, is conducting a survey to learn more about the needs and strengths of the community and its residents.

“These results will shape the programs and services we and our community partners provide by helping us understand the current social, economic and health concerns and experiences of communities in your area, particularly those that are the most underserved,” said Abigail Thompson, Regional Director of Community Health Education. “In the past, survey results have led to the development of tobacco prevention campaigns for youth, healthy cooking classes in the community, expanded transportation options, and mental health training for first responders.”

Monmouth Medical Center hopes to have broad participation from people of all ethnicities, religions and backgrounds, and from all local communities. Anyone over 18 years of age can take the survey. It is confidential, takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and is available in 8 languages: Arabic, Simplified Chinese, English, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Portuguese, Spanish, and Yiddish.

The 2024-2025 survey will be accessible online until September.
