A doctor accused of abusing a teenager is tried
A doctor who worked at the El Bobadal hospital, Jiménez department, began to be tried yesterday for being accused of having sexually abused a 14-year-old adolescent, who had been taken to that hospital to be treated for the injuries he had suffered. after falling from a horse.
On that occasion, the minor had been accompanied by an uncle to the hospital, who at the time the victim was going to be examined, could not enter the office because the doctor did not allow him, according to what he stated.

The medical examination lasted around 35 minutes, and during it—according to what the teenager said—the accused groped him on the buttocks and genitals. The incident was reported and the doctor was arrested. He now faces possible conviction for such conduct.
After the opening statements by the prosecutor Rafael Zanni and the professional’s defense, the Unipersonal Court, led by the chambermaid Rosa Falco, heard several testimonies, among them from the mother, sister-in-law and uncle of the victim, as well as of the psychologists who interviewed the minor and the accused.
A forensic doctor’s report is expected to be received today, after which closing arguments will take place.
The defendant would also be given the chance to say his last words at trial, and then the judge would render the verdict.
