The chairs of Clinical Obstetrics and Perinatology and Gynecology of Medicine, with the support of the Academic Department of Health Sciences, organized the day in tribute to professor and Doctor René Del Castillo, considered a master of gynecology, recognized nationally and international. The activity featured prominent speakers from La Rioja and other provinces of the country, and took place this Friday and Saturday, in the “Dr. “Oscar Quiroga Galíndez.”

The training was aimed at students, graduates and teachers of the Academic Department of Health Sciences, doctors (family specialists, tocogynecology and therapists) and nurses and health personnel from public and private institutions.

In this regard, the dean of the Department of Health Sciences said that “it is a historic day whose impact demonstrates the importance of the event since we are honoring Rene Del Castillo, a great teacher who not only helps build medicine, but also a “a lot of disciples who today profess their way of seeing discipline.”

For his part, one of the directors of the Medicine degree, Dr. Sergio Feryala, said that “Dr. Del Castillo was one of the mentors of the Medicine degree at our university and a collaborator in the creation of all the chairs. of Psychoclinic”.

Likewise, he specified that “during the time that he was the holder of the Chair of Gynecology, the contributions he made were innumerable not only in the sense of education, but in the sense of medical praxis, he is a person who loved students, to teaching, during his visit to La Rioja he treated and operated on patients, always with the students by his side and contributing to the growth of our university.”

In turn, one of the speakers, Doctor Benjamín Gorostiaga, said that “it is a very nice day of tocogynecology in tribute to our great teacher, Professor René Del Castillo, who has been our teacher, trainer of many doctors, residents, who has dedicated his life to gynecology and for teaching, we had him in our university for a long time, he was given the Honoris Causae title, so it is a pride for us today to be here on this update day on what tocogynecological pathology is, both in pregnancy and in the advancement of gynecology.” He expressed that “we are going to remember and honor our professor Rene del Castillo, he loved our university very much, it was a pleasure for him to come to teach, he came with a lot of affection, he wanted a lot to the teachers and non-teachers, he worked a lot when the hospital was founded, the hospital surgery, so for us it is a pleasure to be able to be at the university, to be with many doctors of national prestige offering this day for all the students and doctors of the Rioja”.

This event was a collaboration between the Association of Argentine National University Radio Stations (ARUNA), the National University Audiovisual Network ( RENAU) and the Interuniversity Network of Press and Institutional Communication Areas (RedIAP).

The opening, held remotely, was led by the president of the CIN, Víctor Moriñigo, who highlighted the importance of the State’s role in the formation of communication and journalism careers to strengthen democracy.

The webinar was attended by Pablo Domenichini, president of the Communication and Media Commission and rector coordinator of the RedIAP; Agustina Rodríguez Saá, vice president of the commission and coordinating rector of RENAU; and Daniel Galli, rector coordinator of ARUNA.
